Earl McClung was an NCO in E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, in the 101st Airborne Division during World War II. Neither his rank (staff sergeant) nor his awards qualify him for coverage under WP:SOLDIER; most of the information about him is anecdotal.
